The company that dominated dial-up Internet use is coming to grip with the future. As broadband use increases dramatically, AOL has watched subscriptions decline and advertising dollars move to Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Facing approaching irrelevance, AOL has decided to act.

AOL Reinvents

In an effort to compete, AOL is reinventing itself as an open use portal. To date, AOL has always restricted use of its portal to subscribers. No longer. AOL is beta testing a portal that makes services and content available to everyone. If all goes well, the company will launch the service this month.

AOL's Motivation

The growth of broadband use has correlated to the decline of AOL. It is estimated that as many as 20 percent of subscribers have left the service in the last three years. This loss, of course, correlates to a loss of revenues. As a publicly traded company, AOL must act or face a shareholder revolt.

Catch 22?

AOL is playing a dangerous game with the free portal. The company is risking losing more subscribers that have stuck with the company simply because they like the AOL portal. If "You've Got Mail" is now free, why would anyone pay for it? AOL is soon going to provide an answer.

Further complicating matters, AOL faces an extremely difficult transformation. There is a cliché – If it walk like a duck, quacks like a duck and smells like a duck, it's a duck." At its heart, AOL is a dial-up connection company. How likely is it that AOL will smoothly convert into Yahoo, MSN or Google? Time will tell, but one can expect AOL to learn some hard lessons in the transformation.

What It Means For E-Commerce

The AOL development has little direct impact on e-commerce. As time passes, however, the new strategy could significantly impact Google. Google currently supplies search results to AOL and places Google Adwords on the system. As subscribers decrease, you can expect AOL to develop solutions to replace Google. Much like Yahoo did, Google will eventually be booted from the AOL platform. The loss of 20 million AOL users must be causing Google some consternation.

The Internet is a dynamic, evolving platform. The AOL transformation is just another step in the process. Only time will tell if AOL can adapt in the evolutionary process.

Okay so you want to go into the fabulous life of data entry, or you are already living such a life and you want a new job.  However you are realizing finding a job is not as easy as it seems as no one seems to know where to look.  Well as I have said numerous times before my friends, almost anything and everything you could ever want to find is on the internet.  Like anything else it is actually exceedingly easy to find data entry jobs online.

Of curse you can start out with the simple search and do a little browsing.  It doesn't look like much, but once you get into the websites you will see there are actually a lot of sites posted by other data entry professionals that will point you in the right direction, especially if you want to work at home, these positively abound.

Of course there are the conventional job search engines as well; you know the ones, Monster.com and all of its counterparts.  These will work just as well.  You can find jobs virtually anywhere in the country or you can find ones that will let you work at home and you never have to get dressed.

Now the one thing you really have to be careful of when looking or a data entry job online is that you are working for a legitimate company.  Unfortunately there are a lot of scams being run out there that require an initial investment in software or books and promise loads of cash.  These are not companies that I would trust as I am pretty sure you should not have to pay to work for someone, I am pretty sure it is supposed to be the other way around

Sports memorabilia auctions are highly attended functions. Some of these auctions are designated functions for a specific community cause. But no matter the cause or purpose if you are a collector it is a chance for you to add to your collection. We have reached a moment in our history where it is necessary for you to take advantage of opportunities when they become available. Auctions may come and go but when there is a chance to find the specifics that you have been looking for don't let it pass you by. No matter what season of the year, auctions are usually well attended.

These functions are attended by individuals, retailers, wholesalers and just plain curiosity seekers. In the smaller communities sports memorabilia auctions are the highlight of specific seasons. It is something the hometown folks look forward to year after year after year. Other entities in the community plan events to complement and to feed off of these special auctions. Sometimes a celebrity is invited to help boost the attendance. When this is the case a small fee may be charged at the door. This fee helps to provide ample security and other safeguards and overhead expenses during the event. What we are finding is that schools churches and community organizations sponsor some of these auctions as fundraisers. Proceeds from these auctions sometimes provide additional help for social and community endeavors such as scholarship funds, extra resources for hospitals, and special needs for the local schools.

In fact much of the merchandise that is sold at these auctions has been donated by members of the community. These donations in many instances can be tax write-offs for the businesses or individuals who give to the cause. These sports memorabilia auctions provide ways to pay for new sporting equipment for the local football teams, and other athletic needs in the schools. A twofold purpose is served the first is to provide for the need that has been designated and the second is to give you the chance to buy merchandise that may have been hard for you to find. Some of these auctions generate additional money by charging a small fee to participate. You are given a number so that you will have a vehicle that you can use to bid. Believe it or not some of the more sophisticated sports memorabilia auctions are by invitation only. You will find the most expensive, sort after and least available merchandise at these auctions. You must register for these auctions and provide assurance that you are able to pay for the merchandise if you are the winning bidder.

There are specific qualifications such as having good credit, monies available and appropriate financial resources to get into these kinds of auctions. Things so that these auctions may be a one-of-a-kind portrait of a sports hero, a cap that a sports hero wore or any number of other things such issue, goals, socks and so on. These are not general public auctions but are geared to the upper echelon. Some of these auctions have specific purposes such as raising money for certain health issues and research. If you take a closer look at the whole sports arena a lot of good is done for a great number of people using various facets of the sports world. The sports memorabilia auctions are just one of the avenues used for the common cause.

If I told you that five minutes after reading this you could have a web site up and running that can promote your online business, boost your traffic, provide better customer service, and help you make more sales... would you believe me?

How about if I added that you can do all of this for FREE?

Skeptical? Read on...

I'm sure you've heard about one of the biggest things to hit the Web in the last few years -- blogging. A "blog" (derived from the term "web log") is basically just a web site -- with two key differences:

First, it's extremely easy to add information to it. A blog is like an online journal, so you just log in, type what happened today, post it, and you're done!

Second, you can add a simple little feature that automatically tells a whole bunch of other web sites that you've made an update to your blog -- every time you make a change!

You may also have heard that there are millions of blogs out there... more than 28 million with a new one starting every second, according to blog directory Technorati.

However, what you may NOT know is that a blog can also be a very powerful marketing tool for your business... And some people actually earn an income just from blogging!

The fact is, blogging is fast becoming an extremely important strategy for any online marketer. An effective blog can drive swarms of traffic to your main web site Generate MORE product sales Create an additional stream of advertising income Be a great customer service tool ... And much more.

Blogs have an informal, conversational style, and readers can join in by commenting on each post. Blogs can be chatty, controversial, informative, opinionated, and often humorous, and it's this "human" aspect of blogs that draws many people to them.

But the best part about blogs is how accessible they are to EVERYONE. Blogs are FREE (or very inexpensive) to set up using services like Blogger or TypePad.

EASY to use -- you can literally create your own blog in less than five minutes!

EASY to promote with all the new tools and resources that have been created specifically for blogs -- like Google's blog-only search engine, Google Blog Search.

Plus, they are PROVEN successful promotional tools for both online businesses and offline businesses. In fact, every business person should have a blog -- and I suspect that soon enough, everyone will.

How You Can Use a Blog to Wildly Accelerate Your Online Success!

The fact is, blogs are no longer just online diaries of people's personal lives. Both online and offline businesses can use blogs to take their products and services to a wider audience -- increasing their traffic, leads, and sales.

Let's look more closely at a few of the extremely powerful ways your business can benefit from a blog. With an effective business blog, you can...

Humanize your business: Because a blog is much more informal than other web sites, you can write posts in your own voice and give your business more of a human face. This helps reassure prospective customers that there is a "real person" behind the web site who will take care of their needs. It also allows you to inject much more of your own personality into your online business than your main sales site could do.

Improve your customer service: Your blog can act as a kind of interactive FAQ, allowing your customers to submit questions and you to answer them. You can also provide product updates, "How-to" articles, and other information of relevance to your customers. And prospective customers who see your blog will be encouraged by your commitment to good customer service!

Give your target market the information they're looking for: With its automatic archiving feature -- by date and category -- a blog is a fantastic content management system. It's easy for you to post new information on a regular basis, and it's easy for your visitors to find the information they want. With a well-written, regularly updated blog, you can become a reliable resource in your industry, and build a following of loyal readers who depend on your content. These people will be your best potential customers!

Drive traffic to your sales web site: If you already have a web site, a blog can give your traffic levels a real boost. For starters, your blog will attract new visitors that you can then redirect to your main sales web site through links and special offers. But an even MORE effective technique is to use strategic keywords and links to specific sales pages to dramatically improve the search engine rankings of both your blog AND your main web site.

Build your credibility and establish yourself as an industry expert: You can give your credibility a real boost by regularly posting valuable and relevant information on your blog. It's a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your subject area -- and allow your visitors to feel much more comfortable buying from you.

Promote your products or services: You can actually sell products directly from a blog, or you can use your blog to mention new products and direct your visitors to your sales web site.

Generate extra income: There are now several advertising programs available, such as Google AdSense, that allow you to monetize your blog and generate an extra revenue stream.

There are many small business owners who are using blogs to benefit their business right now... with some spectacular results. We've come across farmers, PR consultants, tailors, CEOs, and many more who blog with great success.

Ego and the Entrepreneur

Ego and the Entrepreneur

Word Count:

I have been working with a lot of Entrepreneur's over the last 6 years as a consultant, a business leader, and one myself.  There are two types of Entrepreneurs and I have definitions for them:

3. New Entrepreneur

Not very catchy definitions are they?  Let me define them based on their characteristics because the "New Entrepreneur" out there could save them self a lot of headache if they look for behavior that generally leads them to failure.

I have been working with a lot of Entrepreneur's over the last 6 years as a consultant, a business leader, and one myself.  There are two types of Entrepreneurs and I have definitions for them:

1. Successful Entrepreneur
2. Unsuccessful Entrepreneur
3. New Entrepreneur

Not very catchy definitions are they?  Let me define them based on their characteristics because the "New Entrepreneur" out there could save them self a lot of headache if they look for behavior that generally leads them to failure.

Sucessful Entrepreneurs

These guys are easy.  They know the game.  They understand why you build a business.  They do it over and over again because they love the challenge.  They are not in it for their egos, the idea, or the need to have President on their business card.  They do it because they can't do anything else, but build things and then sell it off.  They get it started, then hand it off to people to run it.

Unsuccessful Entrepreneurs

Things just don't work out for the Unsuccessful Entrepreneur.  More often than not, they keep on trying, and get it a little more right next time.  Eventually, some become successful.  Often, they give up and return to the safety net of a 40 hour per week job.  Their idea, product, or service just does not solve anyone's problem, but their own.

New Entrepreneurs

I have a lot of respect for people that venture out into their own or try to turn an idea into action.  These are people that generally don't fit into the corporate structure, are generally liberal minded (not to confuse the Rush Limbaugh listeners of the world, liberal minded means finding new ways of doing things from how it is always done.  Or, it simply means outside the box thinking).  Having the audacity to question how things are being done and suggest there is a better way to do it.

So the new Entrepreneur has this great idea!  Then, they get excited because they could make a lot of money doing it!  "I am going to be rich!"  So, they embark on the emotional high of becoming an Entrepreneur.  They become infatuated with their idea.  It is the best idea and the only idea worth investing.  Most need money to fund their idea, yet they don't want to give anything up to get other people's money.  Their valuation of the business is way over inflated and they have no sales.  Ego and control start to get in the way.

I have been involved in several start-up ventures and this is a common pattern that occurs.  As I sit at the Venture Club of Indiana and listen to new ideas being pitched around the table, the pattern is there.  The "New Entrepreneur" is excited about their great idea, yet they cannot really articulate how to make money with it.  Their assumptions about their market are not well defined and they do not really understand what it takes to get a business going.  They don't understand why no one will invest in their business.  They are passionate about the idea and their ego loves the fact that they can now put President on their business card.

So what is important for new Entrepreneurs?  It is all about sales.

When I was President of the Indiana Entrepreneur's Alliance, one of the guests to our meeting made an important point.  He said, everyone says you need and accountant and a lawyer to get a business started.  So, everyone goes out and gets and accountant and a lawyer to make you feel good about your idea.  This is backwards.  He points out that you need customers first to determine if the idea has merit, then go out and hire an accountant and a lawyer. Is what you are doing in demand and are people willing to pay for it?

In other words, it is about sales and marketing.  As a New Entrepreneur is weighing the idea, the emphasis needs to be on sales and marketing.  Get the idea, product, or service out there and see if someone will pay you for it.  Do you need an infrastructure to support it?  Yes.  Do you need to be able to deliver it?  Yes.  But figure out what kind of expectations you can put out there and manage.  As another successful Entrepreneur told me, don't be afraid of success.  You can always find money, if you have a book of business to show an investor.  And, you can always find ways to deliver.

In our web consulting, we see the New Entrepreneur all the time.  Some people are looking for the "Mirror".  "Come in and tell me that I am great, my idea is great, and that you can sell it the way I want it to be sold, even though I have had mediocre success to date."  In our case, the web plays an important part for most customers trying to sell products or services.  They focus on their logo and their image, their name. Unsuccessful entrepreneurs gladly feed into their egos and leave results starving at the table.

The reality is New Entrepreneurs need to focus on results.  In business, results equal sales and profits.  Logos, names, and images can have value – only if people buy because of the name, logo and image.

Get centered Answering the questions of your buyers:

1. What is it?
2. What is the value?
3. How do I get it?
4. Has anyone else used it?
a. What do they say?
b. If not?  What is the edge I get with it?
5. Yes, I want one!

With limited resources and limited time, investment needs to be on finding the market, bringing them to you, engaging the market, and closing some deals or selling product. The question to always ask:

Is what I am doing or spending money going to help me generate more sales?

Case in point, people always feel like they need to reinvent something that has been tested to work.  (Ok…I respect out of the box thinking, but dollars can be wasted on IT projects that bring very little value in the end). E-Commerce is an area that people feel the need to "customize".  We had a client that need to change e-Commerce systems because the one they were using did not support standard marketing practices for e-Commerce sites.  Yet, they would not do it because the one they were using had a feature that really brought no value to the buyer or their business.  Again, was what they were doing going to help them generate more sales?  The answer was no, yet they chose to spend $20,000 when $3,500 would have done the job for the next five years.

So, New Entrepreneurs, here are some things to keep in mind:

1. No one cares about "the idea."  They care about what the idea will do for them.
2. Investors don't care about "the idea."  They care if their investment in the idea will make them money.
3. Investors don't invest in "the idea", they invest in the people behind the idea.  If you do not demonstrate your ability to execute, you will not get investment.
4. Being President of nothing with no sales has no value.
5. It's about marketing and sales, particularly for start-ups.
a. Always ask, is what I am doing going to help me sell more?
b. Is what I am spending my money on going to help me sell more?
c. Can I apply metrics to what I am doing?
6. It's about execution.

As it relates to the web marketing, the same rules apply.  Here is the list to keep in mind:

1. The website visitor does not care about you, they care about what you can do for them.  They want to know:
a. What is it?
b. What is the value?
c. How do I get it?
2. Before you spend money on an expensive website, can you answer these questions:
a. How big is the market?
b. What words do people use to search your product?
c. How much to advertise?
d. Who are your competitors?
e. What are they doing?
f. What are they not doing?
g. Who are the top ranked sites?
3. Have you budgeted for web marketing?
a. Monthly?
4. You are a new business, people don't know you.  And until you spend millions on drilling your brand into the American psyche, they aren't going to know your brand from a hole in the ground.  Use what you do, or what your customers call your product as your name.  This strategy worked fine in the past and still works fine today.  Evidence: International Business Machines, Advanced Micro Devices, American Telephone and Telegraph, General Motors, General Electric, National Cash Register, American Airlines and Budget Rent-a-Car.  Not an obscure latin name with an interesting meaning only to you.

There is really nothing sexy about Internet marketing.  It too is about execution.  It is about results.  It is not about corporate ego.  It is about what your product or service does for the buyer and the investor.

Adsense, The Great Secret

Adsense, The  Great Secret

Word Count:
912

Summary:
Why are there so many Adsense sites but so few are really successful?

Keywords:
adsense, adsense site, keywords

Article Body:

What is the great secret to huge earnings with Adsense? The truth is, there is no great secret.

Let us look at adsense from the top.

Adsense pays you a percentage of money for each click that you generate on your website. Which brings us to two very important facts that few seem to realize when building their adsense websites.

You need traffic to click on your adsense ads.

Your ads must be relevant to the search of the visitor.

Lets dissect them one at a time.

Traffic.

You can create adsense sites with software, buy pre-built sites, use PLR and so on. This is a nice quick fix to solve your problem of generating adsense income, or so many seem to think.

Most of the time you will have wasted your time and money. It would have been much better spent taking the dog for a walk or doing the dishes.

For an adsense site to be successful it needs visitors, many visitors. If you have just put up a new site it will mean you have not been indexed neither do you have any page ranking. Your 2000 page pre-built website at this moment in time means nothing. Don't forget that a thousand or so others have followed the same route as you, some before and some after, quite a bit of duplicate content don't you think?

Lets move on. The search engines have come by and your pages are now indexed after two or three months.

Suddenly to your great surprise for the next month you have a total of two clicks, or worse none whatsoever. Four months down the line becomes six and still the results remain the same.

Fortunately you do not need to feel alone, there are many who have done exactly the same thing with the same results. But from your perspective the internet sucks and there are only a few who will make money and the multitudes of others will buy their products.

Sorry to tell you the truth, you are wrong. If you went about building your adsense empire with a plan, and not a quick fix, things would be quite different. But we all still love quick fixes and buy them, so there is no need to feel bad.

Building your adsense site takes careful planning. You can do it as a new site, subdirectory or implement it on your current site.

The very first thing that you must do, and I cannot stress this enough, is keyword research.

It is a long and arduous task and does take a lot of time and thinking to get to the right keywords. It is  the life or death of your site. You can have the best optimized pages around, but if you chose the wrong keywords you will never be seen.

The wrong choices would be keywords that are never searched for or the competition is so high that you will be competing against many high ranking websites, and your pages will just get lost in the maze.

Only when you have your keywords in place is it time to develop your content. You should try to create as many of these pages yourself. Now you are not able to write one thousand pages all by yourself but if you write one page a week, by the end of the year you will have 52 unique pages, that is what the search engines are looking for. Your pages need not be long 400 to 600 words are fine as long as the content is relevant, but we will get to that now.

If you are just starting your site you can mix up your pages with articles, PLR content and your own, but do create your own unique content as often as you can.

Now lets look at relevance.

If a visitor lands on your page from a search engine result he must find your content relevant to his search, otherwise he will leave as quickly as he came. He will not be clicking one of your adsense ads either to his next destination.

Why not?

Your adsense ads on your page will be reflective of your content, not his search, which means they will have no meaning to him whatsoever. That is why it is so important to have relevant content to your keywords, that is what brings the visitor, keeps him on the site and gets him to click an adsense ad when he leaves.

Placement of ads and the way they appear have been proven to increase or decrease CTR. Unfortunately this information is only obtainable through research over a period of time. You have to use different formats and placements on different pages and  track each ad separately to establish which work best.

But the internet is constantly changing, and what is working now will not necessarily be working in six months to a year, so unless you have been doing the research yourself over a period of time and finding the right information at the right time, you will have to pay to get your adsense working effectively and profitably.

This is the great secret to successful adsense pages, it is nothing more than research information as to what is working best at this time. The information is gathered through persistent testing, tracking, more testing and tracking until the right combinations are found and then doing it all over again. The secret is finding and using the information first.

The work at home industry is comprised of two types of people.

The first group want to work at home so they can wake late, work in their PJs, and watch their favorite soap.  These people may have succeeded in the corporate world, or in a regular job. They may be university graduates. They are just looking for an easier way to live their lives.

These are societies adventurers. They are separated from the 'lazy' segment of society by the fact that they work much harder at making their 'get rich easily' schemes work than most CEOs work at making corporate America work.

These people are often seen as dreamers.  Their motivation may to stay at home and raise the children, get out of the rat race, build multiple streams of income, start building wealth by investing, or to do a better job than their boss did.  However, their drive is to succeed.

The second group are innovators.

Innovators come from two places. They may be part of the newly defined Indigo personality type. These people may, or may not be geniuses. They help others, and often self destruct because they were forced to fit into the 4 main personality types, living in a cubical, and forced to maintain the status quo.

The second type of Innovator may, or may not, be a genius.  In fact, they probably have never been tested. They just know that they are trapped in the corporate world. They probably have not reached a level of success that challenges their capabilities – but one, or more, managers have launched their careers by stealing this innovator's ideas. When there is a deadline, or problem, this innovator is forced to solve it – and they do.

Where to You Fit?

Women have a harder time determining where they fit in this scheme then men.  A man works from home and he is left alone for most of the day. However, women are often expected to take on the housework, run errands, and stop working when the family arrives home at night.

I am mentioning this because these things must be addressed before the woman leaves the workforce.  Statistics have proven that even a simple task like 'throwing a load of laundry in' can substantially tip the balance between success and failure.

Men have their own problems to face. The number one mistake they make is asking their wives to work as secretaries. Wives rarely have the skills, or motivation, needed to succeed. If they did, they'd be in the workforce.  Do yourself a favor and either do your own paperwork – or hire a 'real' secretary – a skilled worker.

The odds are, if you see yourself in one of the top categories then you will make an excellent, and successful entrepreneur.

If you fit into the first category, then you probably do not have the management skills needed to succeed, but now that you are aware of that drawback, you can remedy it easily.

People who fit into the second category can easily succeed, but they may find themselves trying to diversify too much.

A good manager starts any endeavor by focusing on themselves first. Measure your own strengths and weaknesses and find a business that 'fits' your skills, drive, and personality.

The Quickest Way To Your Customers Wallet? Your Article.

Do you want to reach more customers?  Do you want them to be ready to purchase your product or service before they see you web site?  Show them what you know and get more exposure for your site with your own articles.

article marketing

Article Body:
One way of promoting your website and product can be achieved for free. As an additional bonus, this "free" method can boost your sites and sales, doubling and even tripling your income.
Articles. One of the easiest ways to promote your website in order to generate traffic and increase your earnings.
How does this work?
Write articles relating to your website and submit them to "free content" submission sites. Easy to do, takes little time and can increase your website traffic, sales and of course, your income.
How can article writing boost traffic and income?
The article on the free content site contains a link to your own website. Readers, after reading your articles, may choose to click on the link and pay you an unexpected visit. Having them on the free content sites is also making these articles available to other webmasters who may wish to publish that article on their site.
If they do, your article will include a link back to your site. And anyone who reads the article on that site can still click on the link to visit your site.
As the list of your published articles grows larger, and more and more of them are appearing on different websites, the total number of links to your site increases also. Major search engines are placing a lot of significance on incoming links to websites so they can determine the importance of a certain site.
The more incoming links the website has, the more importance search engines attaches to it. This will then increase your website's placement in the search results.
If you site is into promoting a product or service, the links that your articles have achieved will mean more potential customers for you. Even if visitors only browse through, you never know if they might be in need of what you are offering in the future.
There are also those who already have specific things they need on their mind but cannot decide yet between the many choices online. Chances are, they may stumble upon one of your articles, gets interested by the contents you wrote, go to your site and became enticed by your promotions. See how easy that is?
Search engines do not just index the websites, they also index published articles. They also index any article that is written about your own website's topic. So once someone searches for that same topic, the list of results will have your site or may even show the articles that you have written.
And to think, no effort on your part was used to bring them to your site. Just your published articles and the search engines.
It is no wonder why many webmasters are suddenly reviving their old writing styles and taking time to write more articles about their site than doing other means of promotion.
Getting their site known is easier if they have articles increasing their links and traffic and making it accessible for visitors searching the internet. Since many people are now taking their buying needs online, having your site on the search engines through your articles is one way of letting them know about you and your business.
The good thing with articles is that you can write about things that people would want to know about. This can be achieved in the lightest mood but professional manner, with a little not-so-obvious sales pitch added.
If you think about it, only a few minutes of your time is spent on writing one article and submitting to free content site. In the shortest span of time also, those are distributed to more sites than you can think of. Even before you know what is happening, you are getting more visitors than you previously had.
If you think you are wasting your time writing these articles, fast forward to the time when you will see them printed and wide-spread on the internet. Not to mention the sudden attention and interest that people are giving your website and your products or services.
Try writing some articles and you will be assured of the sudden surge in site traffic, link popularity and interest. Before you know it, you will be doubling and even tripling your earnings.
Nothing like getting benefits for something you got for free.

How To Be Rejected By The Article Directories

Article writing is one of the best ways to increase your traffic and get more sales. You've heard it a million times so you decide to finally just do it. You write an article and submit it to the article directories, eagerly anticipating the flow of traffic. Instead you receive the dreaded rejection letter.
What did you do wrong?
1. Did you proof-read your article before you submitted it?
Popular article directory sites receive hundreds of submissions each day. It's much easier for the owner to click "decline" than to edit your typo-filled or unformatted article. Before submitting, proof the article and proof it again. If grammar and spelling make you sweat, then hire a Copywriter or ask a friend to help you before you click that submit button.
2. Is it an Advertisement or an Article?
Article directory sites are looking for informative, useful content, not press releases or ads. If your submission reads like an ad, it will not be accepted. And, think about it -- even if was approved on a fluke, do you think that website owners will be clamoring to publish your 500 word advertisement? Not a chance.
If your goal is to write and submit a press release, then check out places like prweb.com.
3. Did you read the Submission Guidelines?
Each article directory has a different culture. Glance through the Submission Guidelines before setting up an account to make sure your article will be welcome before you submit it. If an article directory is based around a niche like gardening, then please resist the urge to submit your Mesothelioma articles. There are plenty of article directories that want your articles. It's not an effective use of your time to submit unwanted articles to a niche site.
4. Is your article PG-rated?
Don't submit sex-related articles, profanity, or general nastiness. Article directories are businesses and, therefore, exist to make money. This means they generally receive income through affiliate sales or advertising. So, if your article includes sex or contains words stronger than "darn", don't be surprised if your article is rejected. Of course, if your article contains nastiness or anything illegal -- don't even bother.
5. Is your Article original and written by you?
Submit only original articles. Please do not copy someone else's article, edit it, and submit it. That's stealing and you will be caught. And, do not submit articles from shared content sites. Article directories want original, unique content. Public domain is 'public' but think how ineffective article directories would become if there were 500 versions of the same public domain piece. Instead of wasting your time figuring out how to reinvent other people's content, just write your own.
Now that you know what not to do, start writing the kind of articles that article directories dream of -- and watch your business grow.

Case Study: Successful Implementation of CRM

Case Study: Successful Implementation of CRM

Word Count:
589

Summary:
If you're looking to implement Customer Relationship Software Solution into your small business, here's a case study that will highlight areas that can make your CRM implementation successful.

Keywords:
crm, crm software, crm solution, crm application, crm customer relationship management

Article Body:
Recently, a company spent $25 million in CRM system's execution.

The company has been one of the leading forest-products companies in the world but for the past several years, office products - pens, computers, desks etc., have comprised the largest segment of its annual sales.

One-third of the company's revenue is generated from its online business and because office product customers rely on flawless e-commerce site performance to help reduce their administrative overhead, competition within this sector is strong.

What Prompted The Company To Go For CRM?
Of late, the company's application server was failing to meet volume and performance expectations.

The web site was not integrated with customer account information, so clients with questions about order position or account balances flooded the call centers. The customers were demanding and each customer had different needs.

As the company was in B2B business, managers of the contracted company were primarily treated as customers. After a lot of discussion, the management decided to go for CRM to:

Implement electronic report delivery - to eliminate report production costs

Scalability - to manage the growth of users and reports

Ease of use - to respond in a timely and precise manner to all users, both inside and outside of the organisation.

The initiative was started to invest in CRM to strengthen the company's internal processes and also to provide customers with a greater economic value.

Roadmap To Implement CRM
The implementation was planned in a phased manner. During the design phase of the implementation, a cross-functional team was chalked out of business and IT managers.

This was done to ensure that the IT department had a comprehensive understanding of the business strategies and customer's needs. Different sets of requirements were made for different customer profiles.

How each individual client interacted with the organisation was given chief importance. It was concluded that there were primarily three areas where client interaction was most - customer service center, dispatch department and online portal.

This process helped the company to focus on specific technologies that would improve customer service and discard those that weren't right for the company's goals.

Consequently, the company bought individual software applications (instead of a complete end-to-end CRM system) for customer interaction and operation management and integrated them with the existing order-processing technologies.

Putting CRM Into Operation
Once all the building blocks were placed in order, it wasn't a difficult task for the IT department to implement the CRM system.

It was decided to apply the new technology to the two largest customer channels, phone and web and so it was paramount that both remain fully functional.

As the company had a huge client base, most of the production deployment was done over the weekend when there was less number of client calls and when there was less number of people accessing the company's web site.

The data migration was another step which was carved out with utmost importance because it required cleansing of the 2.2 million customer records from multiple disparate databases into a single customer profile database.

Mantra For Successful Implementation of CRM
The company was able to successfully implement CRM because much of its focus was on customer convenience.

It always maintained the sync between the business and IT departments, so as to ensure everyone was on the same page.

Vigilant and correct choice of CRM software was another major step that helped the company to move ahead with a smooth and successful implementation.

In the end, the company was rewarded with increased revenue, customer retention and positive feedback from all sectors - both in-house and out-house.

Yes, your online content will be packed with free tips and techniques and secret weapons for becoming the next internet marketing millionaire. However, it can be very time consuming especially if you are just starting to build your online business. The arrival of the Internet has made the tasks of promoting your business much easier than before.

You get instant feedback with your advertising that in times gone buy would have taken months if not years to obtain. The same sort of results that now can take as little time as a few minutes with Google ad words can achieve the same results, saving you time and money. Some of the benefits of an online business: the most inexpensive way to start a business, unlimited market for your products or services, automatic streams of constantly growing income (otherwise known as passive income), more time you're able to spend with your family and loved ones as a result. So ask yourself what products can I offer that are of interest. What type of product can I sell that will take the hassle out of making money online what can I sell that will give my customers instant gratification and solve my prospect's problem, the answer is electronic downloadable product with instant access 24/7If your ads or products do not clearly spell this out, and tell the customer how you will give them what he/she desires, most times you will not make the sale, if you go down the path of selling hard product then you are going to require a customer service department, or shipping department, then you must see how many people you will need to employ.

If your selling digital downloads then you don't need any of the above you can set up your business and it will run on automatic While it is true that other major search engines have also recently launched similar tools, the Google remains in a class of its own in terms of what it can deliver and the sheer experience of being the premier and largest search engine provider. The truth is that an affiliate needs fairly high levels of traffic to make money from any online affiliate business opportunity. An Affiliate Program Can Help Your Business. The truth is that there is a lot of hard work in terms of setting up structures and driving traffic to your affiliate site that needs to be done over a period of time before the money can start to roll in thick and fast. This is the reason why most people who register to join a top 10 online business opportunity affiliate program usually give up somewhere along the way. There is probably no online business opportunity today that is more viable than joining an affiliate program or two. In fact it has now become clear that chances of online business success are much higher with an affiliate program opportunity than by trying to launch one's own new product or service. Small companies do it to become big whilst big sites do it to retain their position.

Casting aside the more technical programming jargon, the most important things to making money online in terms of SEO is inbound links and good content on your website.

Have some Meaningful Content about your Keyword or Keyword Phrase. You need to have meaningful content that the Search engines can use to determine if your product is relevant to what the search terms are that people are typing in there browsers. the engines are getting much smarter about robotic page generated sites that are not able to be read buy humans and are only there to trick the search engines, pages like this are a thing of the past, these days the more relevant the information you provide to people through your web site the more success you will have This is not a lesson on search engines but given the amount of content based on the one word 'SEO' you can begin to understand how popular this idea is.

In conclusion affiliation is the quickest way to get stated online and you need relative content to what it is that you are selling, all matched to the key words that people are using to find what they are looking for. This with the determination to succeed and a little hard work and you're on the way to setting up our own online empire.

You have researched a topic and believe there is enough material to provide readers with a compelling reason to desire the information. The topic is universal in scope or is a niche idea with plenty of potential customers. In either case you discover you only have one problem; you don't know how to write.

I've touched on this idea in other articles, but I wanted to dedicate an article to the use of freelance writers to aid in the completion of your visionary idea.

The end result should meet or exceed your expectations for quality. While there can be a sizeable 'write for hire' fee attached to the completion of the ebook it should be noted that once you pay for the work (with the knowledge that you will require all rights to the work) you can begin to recoup your expenses through online ebook sales as a new home business or as an extension of an existing enterprise.

When working with potential freelancers you should feel free to ask for credentials, references or both. They should be able to supply you with a sample of their work and then work with you on every phase of product development.

We're all familiar with the old adage, "It takes money to make money." While this may be true, the overall cost of developing an ebook may be less than you may think. The long-term benefits come with a residual income that can be administered through an online ebook reseller.

Many home-based businesses will direct link to their ebook reseller as a means of pointing to the work without the need to manage downloads and fee collection.

As the Internet has grown so, too, has the expectation for knowledge-based sites that can assist visitors on various aspects of a product or service. The sites that provide this information are finding a double benefit of improved site rankings and a significantly more satisfied customer base.

The addition of an ebook becomes a marriage between marketing and good will. The customer sees this offering as a means of learning from an expert in the field and you have the satisfaction of knowing your knowledge has provided a win/win scenario for you and customer.

A freelance work-for-hire writer can help you make sense of the book you'd like to see made and then build on the framework you provide. In the end, the work becomes yours and the freelance writer moves along to assist others in reaching similar goals.

Article Body:
EBay is a very large website with millions of visitors each week. Some people just want to browse through and buy items, while others take this opportunity to prey upon them. Here are the thirteen ways to staying safe on eBay.

1) Beware of invitations to trade on another site.

This is a classic tactic of fraudsters. Once they make some kind of contact with you, they will invite you to purchase or sell off eBay. The attraction here to the scammer, is that they can drive the transaction along with any lines they prefer. They will try to milk every cent out of your pocket and laugh about it.

Another reason why trading off eBay is not a good idea is that you have to keep your own records of the transaction. Keep in mind that you forfeit any cover from eBay buyer protection and Pay Pal buyer protection. Another thing is that you will not be able to leave feedback to warn others.

2)  Keep an eye on brand new sellers.

Although the vast majority of new sellers are genuine and honest, be very cautious of buying from people selling high priced items too early. This pattern is just not normal. Would you start out by selling high priced items on eBay? A new seller fitting this description may be someone who has been previously suspended and registered with another ID.

3) Protect your eBay ID.

Never use your email address as your eBay ID. Scammers have software that monitors internet traffic looking for information like this. If your eBay ID and email address are the same, it is simple for a fraudster to communicate with other eBay members in your name. Soon enough, you might even be banned from eBay because of their illegal activities.

4) Be cautious of 1 day listings.

Even though 1 day listings are used by expert sellers with authentic items, scammers will use this method to trick you. For instance they will sometimes use 1 day auctions to gain a quick sale before their actions can be reported. You must be very careful with these listings.

5) You should make sure the payment methods are legitimate.

Scammers prefer to choose payment methods in which the buyer has no protection. These include wire transfers where the buyer has no way of tracing where their own money is heading. Western Union Money Transfers and Bid Pay are easily manipulated by scammers, and you should avoid them at all costs.

Postal orders are similar although they are the popular payment method among the super star sellers. Bank transfers and personal checks can only provide the possibility of your bank investigating the details of the account the money was transferred into. For the best protection use Pay pal and add credit with a credit card.

6) False stock photographs and descriptions.

Due to the fact that scammers do not have the physical items, they will use stock photographs. There is also a great chance that they will probably use the manufacturer's product description too. Do some research and search for other auctions by the same seller.

7) Beware of the too good to be true price.

Scammers want your money as quickly as possible. You may find they offer to close their auction early with you as the winner having bid a price which you know to be somewhat of a bargain. If this ever occurs, you should ask yourself some serious questions. Check to see how many bids were placed before yours.

8) The language they write in has distinct grammatical errors.

A high percentage of scammers tend to operate from other continents. Due to the fact that they are not fully familiar with English, they will use a translation tool like to create their emails to you. Keep a serious eye out for emails that are not in proper English. There are many legitimate sellers that cannot speak or write in English that well, but this is just another precaution you must take.

9) Be sure to know the location of the person.

Many lazy scammers will tend to mess up their locations. Their auction will state that the product is in the United Kingdom, but their ID shows their location to be in China. There is a high chance that when you contact these sellers you will receive an excuse as to why the item is not located properly, and therefore cannot be collected in person. If this ever happens to you, check with Pay Pal to see where the seller is located before making a purchase.

10) Ask many questions for your own sake.

Make it a habit to ask your seller a question. Their response will help you judge how genuine they are. If the ask a seller a question button is not there, do not trust them. This could be an account hijacker trying to prevent buyers from asking any questions. They reason they want to stop this from happening is because questions can easily be routed to the real account owner.

11) Keep changing your passwords.

Try not to have the same password on your eBay and Pay Pal accounts. Make sure you change your passwords every month on both eBay and Pay Pal. This will also keep scammers and hijackers away.

12) Credit card payment

For high value items, or for amounts of money you cannot afford to lose, make sure you pay by credit card which has online fraud protection. This will give you some recourse if the seller is fraudulent. In this context, paying via Pay Pal is not the same. Pay Pal does have a buyer protection scheme, but there are criteria which the eBay auction has to satisfy in order to qualify. Keep in mind that Pay Pal only protects to a certain amount.

13) Check the address and telephone number for safety.

Use the seller question link and ask them to send you an email with their address and telephone number. Any honest seller will give you their address and telephone number. When you get the number give them a call and see if you get the genuine seller themselves.

If you can follow these tips, you will easily succeed on eBay. Keep in mind that each day scammers surf through eBay looking for an easy target. As long as you are armed with the knowledge to keep you safe, everything will be just fine.

Are you a woman business owner struggling with the juggling? You're committed to running a successful business while also needing to manage your family life. It can begin to feel like one long marathon, day after day. It can be absolutely exhausting! Bet you're ready to take a new approach. Are you ready to juggle work and family with ease?

Most women feel that one often overshadows the other (depending on the day and the deadline) and never seem to come to a place where they are comfortably managing both work and family. In this article you'll find five key strategies to be an expert juggler. You can run a successful, profitable business that makes a difference in the world while also creating a loving, joyful family life that thrives. Let's look at five powerful strategies:

1. Articulate "Who You Want to Be" Each Day

It's important to articulate who you want to be (i.e. calm, patient, kind, loving) each day so you can frame your actions and words within that context. If you want to be more patient, for example, allow yourself to bring patience into every interaction in your business as well as into your communications with your family. By seamlessly integrating "who" you are in each environment, you'll begin to feel better and experience more ease.

2. Clarify Your Work and Family Vision

With a clear vision, you can take clear action as you juggle your activities throughout the day. Begin by writing down your top three business goals and your top three family goals (they may be weekly, monthly or even annual). Give yourself time to clearly articulate your vision and create an action plan. Without this vision, you may feel as if you are running a race that has no end.

3. Know Your "High Impact Activities"

Review your vision and identify the high-impact activities for yourself (i.e. those actions that will bring the greatest results and place you closer to your goals). When you determine these, you gain a greater level of discernment about how to spend your time and energy. You can then "outsource" or eliminate the things that won't produce results that are consistent with your vision(s).

4. Identify the Top Three Things to Complete Each Day

Choose the top three things you want to fully complete each day. Most people feel stress as they juggle work and family because so many things are incomplete. I want to challenge you to pick three juicy actions every day for both your business and family (six total) and complete them with vigor! When you do, you'll feel a deep sense of ease and satisfaction.

5. Enlist the Help of Others (Colleagues, Assistants and Family)

Women often tend to feel they must complete everything on their own. It's simply not realistic. Look for new ways to save time, money and energy by enlisting the help of others. It may be a friend, colleague or family member. A mentor once said to me, "When you tell someone where you are trying to go, they'll help you get there." Allow others to help you meet your goals. With this support, you'll naturally create more ease for yourself.

Fiona, a gourmet foods entrepreneur in Australasia and the US, recently applied these powerful strategies during our 12-Week Work With Ease™ for Small Businesses program and was amazed at the results. She decided she was going to approach both her business and her family in a very different way. Within one month of establishing her "who to be," vision and high-leverage activities, she was on the road to more ease. She felt clear, focused and ready to grow her business to the next level.

I wish you well as you begin to look for ways to juggle work and family with more ease. May you know joy, may you know peace and may you work with ease.
